Do you do Christmas parties in schools?
Yes. However we only do a select few as we get booked very early for company Christmas parties etc.

Do you send a confirmed booking by post?
Yes. All bookings are confirmed in writing.

Have you ever had to cancel a disco and if so, where do we [the customer] stand?
We have NEVER cancelled a disco! If we ever had to due to illness, we have a very good backup via a group of professional, experienced DJs.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes and am happy to email you copies. A copy is always available when we arrive at an event. [Safety]

Is all of your equipment P.A.T. tested?
Yes, as above, copy of the certificate is available and will be available when we arrive at an event. [Safety]

My friend's wedding was a bit of a let down because of the DJ playing what seemed like his own choice of music - we want a DJ that plays what we want and what our guests request. How do you work that is different and ensures we all have a great time?
We engage your guests - get them singing and dancing and involved in the fun. There'll always be one or two who simply are not interested in the music and lights but 90+% will get involved if the DJ makes the effort - which we do. You are hiring a DJ for your Entertainment for the event - in the same way a band would be your Entertainment - a good DJ plays for the crowd, not for him/herself!

I'm looking for a DJ that can cater to my wedding guests - aging from 3 up to about 90. How can you assure me that everyone will have a great time.
Weddings and all types of private party are a great event and we appreciate that a lot of money is spend and a lot of effort goes in to the planning of the event - as such, we also prepare! We talk to you about the age groups and about the music, what novelties to bring, etc.,

Every event is unique, we do not play the same list of songs every time. We cater to the children with party songs and current pop songs, we hand out glow sticks and glow bracelts, we have the bubble machine (toddlers love it) and we consider entertaining the kids is a big part of allowing the adults to have a better time.

Moving through the night we get into music of an era that the older guests will appreciate and vary the styles so each age group hears the music they like. The party songs always gets them to the dance floor and good old Disco, Motown, 70s and 80s are generally enjoyed by everyone.

However, there are no hard and fast rules. We've been known to have over an hour of 60s music because that's what the guests were enjoying and also, when the midnight hour approaches, it's typically the teenagers and 20 somethings that are still standing and want an hour of current dance beats! Not a problem to us because while we appreciate music from the 50s, 60s, 70's and 80's we're still young enough to appreciate and enjoy the 90's and current chart and dance hits.

Can we select our own music and do you play requests?
Yes. We try to play all requested tracks and prior to the event we would always discuss the types of music you prefer and compile a list of songs you want played.

Can you supply a microphone for speeches?
Yes. We have wired and wireless microphones available.

Can you provide Background Music during our meal?
Yes. We see background music as a nice way to ease everyone into the party - and we can be set-up in advance of your meal.

Can you cater for all age groups?
Yes - We always have a wide selection of music from the 50's to the current chart.

Can we bring our own CD's with us to the function?
Yes - But please label them clearly and remember to collect them from the DJ. We can not be held liable for any lost CDs.

What method of payments do you take?
Cash or Cheque (if you want to use a credit or debit card, we can give you our Paypal email address so you can pay online). A deposit will be required to secure the booking.

One of the DJs we had for a function had little more than one of those big light box things with coloured shapes. Not very impressive. What sort of lights do you use?
Well, we certainly don't use any 'light boxes'. While being extremely easy for setting up, they do not impress like a set of real lights. The lights we use are modern LEDs with additional effects as required depending on the venue.

The last DJ I booked for a corporate event cancelled with just 2 weeks to arrange an alternate DJ. Through the grapevine I heard he had received a better paid booking. How do you assure me that you will not cancel?
We do not open our bookings to the highest bidder! Simple as that. When we quote a price for a booking, we stick to it, always have and always will. Many times we've been asked by more than one person for a particular date but the first one to book get's our service for that date - no matter how much the other person wants to pay. That's our guarantee!

What about fog, smoke or similar?
There is a big confusion about fog machines, smoke machines and hazers. We prefer to use a hazer because it does a fantastic job of enhancing the lights without the smokey air that most fog/smoke machines create. We tend to save fog for teenage parties where we are asked specifically to fill the venue with fog.
Hazers give a slight cloud at first but nothing like fog/smoke. And the haze is litterally a water based solution with no odour, no smoke, nothing that would make anyone feel ill or cough. They really are taking over, especially with the new no-smoking laws and people generally not wanting a smokey atmosphere.
We've used haze at many venues and people just don't know that it's there - but it sure does make the lights look better.
